About Sikeston Carpet & Flooring

Sikeston Carpet & Flooring is a flooring company on Virginia Street in Sikeston, serving Scott County, New Madrid County and the wider Bootheel. We fit carpet, luxury vinyl plank, laminate and tile, we do the stair and trim work that finishes a floor properly, and we take the old floor out and haul it away.

The part we care most about is making the buying end of it easy. Choosing a floor from a rack under fluorescent light, in a room that looks nothing like your house, is a bad way to spend a few thousand dollars. So we bring the samples to you, put them down in the actual room, and let you look at them against your own walls and trim before you commit to anything.

You may know us as Wholesale Flooring and Paint. Same company, same shop, same people — Sikeston Carpet & Flooring is formerly Wholesale Flooring and Paint, and only the name has changed. We are still at 614 Virginia St in Sikeston and still on 573-471-8700. The old name covered a paint side of the business that shrank as the flooring side grew, and it said nothing about the town we work in; the new one says what we sell and where we are. We have also expanded what we do on the installation end — removal and haul-away, subfloor prep, stairs and trim. The registered company behind it all is unchanged: Wholesale Flooring and Paint LLC, which is the name you will still see on a quote, an invoice or a text from us.

Every job matters to us more than it would to a company with a hundred years of goodwill to coast on. A bad floor in a town this size is not something you recover from quietly, so we would rather do it properly than do it fast.

So the process is deliberately unhurried. We come out, we measure properly, and we look at what is under your existing floor before we quote, because the subfloor is what decides whether the new floor performs. If it needs levelling compound, underlayment or a repair, that goes in the quote as its own line rather than being hidden in a total or discovered once your furniture is already in the garage.

We will also tell you when the thing you asked for is the wrong answer. If you want laminate in a laundry room, or carpet in an entry that takes wet boots all winter, we will say so and explain why. We do not install or refinish hardwood at all, so when solid wood is genuinely the right call we say that too and you can go elsewhere for it with our blessing.

The showroom is at 614 Virginia Street and you are welcome in it any time. Most people find it easier the other way round, though, which is exactly why we drive.
