Four materials, and honest advice about which one belongs in your room
Most of what we sell is carpet. It is what we know best and what most houses round here still want in bedrooms, living rooms and on stairs. Alongside it we carry luxury vinyl plank and laminate for the rooms that take traffic, spills and boots, and tile for bathrooms, entries and anywhere the water lands.
Choosing from a rack under fluorescent light, in a showroom that looks nothing like your house, is a poor way to spend a few thousand dollars. So the samples come to you. We put them down in the actual room, against your own walls and trim and daylight, and you decide there.
We will also tell you when what you asked for is the wrong answer. Laminate in a laundry room, or carpet in an entry that takes wet boots all winter, is a call we would rather have before the order goes in than after. We do not install or refinish hardwood at all — when solid wood is genuinely the right choice for a room, we will say so, and you can go elsewhere for it with our blessing.
